Prague- Czech Cubist painter Josef Čapek's picture Girl in Pink Clothes was sold for 12 million crowns at the auction of Galerie Art Praha today, which is the second highest sum paid for a painting in the Czech Republic, organiser Vladimir Neubert told CTK.

Josef Capek (1887-1945), brother of Czech playwright and writer Karel Capek, was an outstanding representative of Czech Cubist painting. He was arrested under the Nazi rule and died in the concentration camp in Bergen-Belsen.
